This tutorial was written 5th April, 2007 by Trixie.
For this tutorial you will need the following:
PSP 9
Gold Pattern here
A graphic of your choice.
Geometric Squares Mask here
FM Tile Tools here
Unzip the mask and place into your mask folder.
Right click and save the gold pattern to your pattern folder.
O.k......Let's get started!
1. Open up your graphic in PSP. Windows/Duplicate. Close original graphic as we will be using the Duplicate.
2. Image/Add border - 2 px Symmetric - using a colour that’s not in your graphic.
3. Select border with Magic Wand.
4. Flood fill with Gold pattern.
5. Selections/Invert.
6. Effects/3d Effects/Cutout – using these settings:
7. Insert Cutout again but this time change the Vertical and Horizontal to -2 (minus 2).
8. Selections/Select none.
9. Image/Add border 1px black.
10. Image/Add border 2px white.
11. Select border with Magic Wand (as above).
12. Flood fill with Gold pattern (as above).
13. Selections/Select none.
14. Image/Add border 40px black.
15. Select with Magic Wand (as above).
16. Layers/New Raster Layer.
17. Flood fill the selection with a light colour from your graphic.
18. Layers/Load/Save Mask/Load mask from disk and select ‘Geometric Squares’:
19. Layers/Merge/Merge Group.
21. Effects/FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss – using default settings.
23. Selections/Select none.
24. Image/Add border 2px white.
20. Layers/Merge/Merge visible.
21. Effects/FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss – using default settings.
22. Repeat Blend Emboss.
23. Selections/Select none.
24. Image/Add border 2px white.
25. Repeat Steps 3 and 4.
26. Repeat Steps 8 to 13 inlcusive.
27. Resize if necessary, add your watermark and you're done!
