This tutorial was written 9th April, 2007 by Trixie.
For this tutorial you will need the following:
PSP 9 but can be achieved in any version of PSP
A graphic of your choice
Gold Pattern here
Simple plugin
Cybia plugin
Plugins can be downloaded here
Right click and save the gold pattern to your pattern folder.
Save the plugins in your Plugins Folder and the Gold Pattern in your Patterns Folder.
O.k..... Let's get started!
Open up the graphic you will be framing. Go to Window/Duplicate and close the original. Resize graphic if necessary.
1. Image/Add border 2 px (check Symmetric) using a colour that is not in your graphic.
2. Select border with Magic Wand.
3. Flood fill with Gold Pattern.
4. Selections/Invert
5. Effects/3d Effects/Cutout - using these settings:
6. Insert Cutout again but this time change the V and H to -1 (minus 1)
7. Select/Select none.
8. Image/Add border 1px black.
9. Image/Add border 3px white and select with magic wand as before.
10. Flood fill with Gold Pattern.
11. Select/Select none.
12. Image/Add border 1px black.
13. Image/Add border 4px white and select with magic wand as before.
14. Flood fill with Gold Pattern.
15. Select/Select none.
16. Image/Add border 1 px black.
17. Image/Add border 20px white and select with magic wand as before.
18. Flood fill with a light colour from your graphic.
19. Effects/Plugins/Cybia/Screenworks and select Dot Screen.
20. Image/Add border 6 px using a dark colour from your graphic.
21. Image/Add border 20px white and select with Magic Wand.
22. Flood fill with Gold Pattern. Keep selected.
23. Effects/Simple/4 Way Average,
24. Select/Select none.
25. Image/Add border 1 px black.
26. Image/Add border 2 px white and select with Magic Wand.
27. Flood fill with Gold Pattern.
28. Select/Select none.
29. Repeat Steps 8 through to 16 inclusive.
30. Add your watermark, resize if necessary and you're done!
